An outdoor decorative piece designed to enhance our garden. The stated intention is purely aesthetic, with its interplay of geometric layers, mirrored edges, and lines engraved into the wood surface.

The diagonal fracture running through the piece, like a tectonic fault, is reminiscent of the lightning bolt in Ziggy Stardust’s face. Bowie’s death had just been announced when I was working on the piece. Very sad news at the time.
